Vedhik Opens Off-campus in Kerala Capital; Scholarships to 3 Students

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Vedhik IAS Academy started an off-campus here today, with Santhigiri Ashram General Secretary Swami Gururethnam Jnana Tapaswi inaugurating the centre at Murinjapalam in the city.

Speaking on the occasion, Swami Gururethnam Jnana Tapaswi said the distinguishing feature of Vedhik IAS Academy is that it is mentored by retired civil service officers. This makes the coaching imparted by the Academy is of high quality and truly beneficial for the students.

Executive Director of NGO resolve and former collegiate Education Director M Nandakumar, was the chief guest at the function in SS Plaza. “Wide reading, backed by a keen interest in current affairs and hard work, can enable one to clear civil services exams,” he said, addressing the gathering.

The function saw two students receiving the Vedhik Erudite Scholarship that will provide them with free coaching for competitive examinations under the Vedhik Erudite Foundation’s ambitious One School One IAS scheme for meritorious aspirants who are financially weak. Two beneficiaries were Class X student Devin of Isa Viswa Vidyalayam at suburban Anayara and Navya M S who is an undergraduate as SN College, Chempazhanthy in the district. BSNL General Manager S S Thampi is Devin’s sponsor for the programme, while Chandran L (Deputy General Manager, Dhanlaxmi Bank) and Rajeswari (Teacher, Kattumunda UP School, Nilambur, Malappuram) are Navya’s sponsors.

One more student will be entitled for the scholarship, which is sponsored by Sony Design Engineer R Balachandran.

The function was also attended by Vedhik IAS Academy’s Marketing Vice President Simon Tharakan and B S Vatsala Nair, Director of the off-campus centre in this city.
