Kerala IT companies are adopting a new hiring system that uses prolonged multiple practical assessments, instead of the traditional recruitment process, which test the capacity of the candidates to implement what they learn and adapt to emerging technologies in a rapidly changing environment.
Under the traditional system, candidates are selected through shortlisting based on marks in engineering, written tests and interviews. It is believed conventional methods are no longer suitable for finding candidates who can thrive in today’s digital era with the advent of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Five months ahead of its start, the 12th edition of Kerala Travel Mart (KTM-2024) in the city has earned big response from India and abroad, with buyer registrations crossing 1,810, of whom 495 are from high-end foreign markets.
Organised by KTM Society with the support of the state Tourism Department and other state & industry agencies, the four-day event starting on September 26 seeks to showcase Kerala’s strength in tourism before a global audience.

The Supreme Court on Monday issued notice on a plea filed by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal challenging his arrest and subsequent remand by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the excise policy case.
Agreeing to examine the matter, a bench presided over by Justice Sanjiv Khanna asked the federal anti-money laundering agency to file its reply by April 24.
The Bench, also comprising Justice Dipankar Datta, allowed the petitioner side.
