V.M. Salgaocar Institute to Host Open Day 2017

After the recent declaration of the board examination results, students are exploring various career options. In order to help them make a better career decision about their future, V.M. Salgaocar Institute of International Hospitality Education (VMSIIHE) will be organizing the VMSIIHE Open Day for students and parents on 7th May 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.at its state-of-the-art campus in Raia, South Goa. The initiative will offer students an insight into the hospitality industry.
Parents and students will get an opportunity to interact with faculty and staff of the institute who will guide them about the program and facilities offered. They will be taken around the campus which will enable them to get firsthand experience of the world class infrastructure and sophisticated in house training equipment at the award winning campus.
VMSIIHE is affiliated to Goa University and offers a 3 year B.Sc. degree in International Hospitality Management. The programme is designed to equip the students with practical training and necessary skills, with special attention to personality development, professional attitude and leadership qualities, which are essential to be a global managers of repute. The Institute has a tie up with Turismo de Portugal for an exchange programme and a strategic partnership with HTMi Switzerland for higher study options.
The course boasts of a dedicated and experienced faculty, world-class infrastructure, interactions with industry experts, educational tours to Europe, international exchange programmes and professional internships in reputed starred hotels in India and abroad.
After the successful completion of the 3-year International Hospitality degree at VMSIIHE the students can directly join the final year of the Master’s program at HTMi Switzerland. The duration of this program comprises of 1 academic semester of taught modules, followed by the completion of a master’s dissertation within 6 months of the completion of the taught modules. Upon completion students will receive 3 post graduate degrees: Post-graduation diploma in Hospitality Management by HTMi, M.Sc. in hospitality and tourism management by Edinburgh Napier University (ENU) and MBA in hospitality Management by HTMi.
The students will also be able to complete a training period of 6 to 12 months in Switzerland with a paid internship.
The well designed campus has a fully functional 5-starred training hotel on campus, with a grand lobby area and reception, well appointed guestrooms, a restaurant, kitchen a
