Tejas Kharangate, a student of V. M. Salgaocar Institute of International Hospitality Education (VMSIIHE), bagged the first place and won an award in the Students Culinary Challenge category at the 16th Edition of the India Hospitality Expo 2019 which was held at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, Bambolim.
Tejas captivated the judges’ taste buds by preparing a delicious infused Chicken Roulade stuffed with cheese, spinach and mushroom with a nice corn and pea puree and topped it with sweet and sour prawns.
The contestants were judged based on the taste, texture and consistency of the dish prepared as well as presentation and authenticity. Punctuality in presentation, hygiene and cleanliness was also considered. The 16th International edition of India Hospitality Expo was held at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, Bambolim earlier this week.
