Little Britain Preschool, Kakkanad, Kochi celebrated the World Post Day 2019 of India in a unique manner. As this day commemorates the significance of postal department, their efficiency and prominence in developing the culture of India, the students at Little Britain Preschool observed the by sketching and colouring their family picture on postcards.
Then they visited the Kusumagiri Post Office to recognize the functioning of the postal department. Children also posted their cards in the mail box which will be a surprise for their parents. It will also be a proud and memorable moment for the kids when they receive their cards at home and this day will be cherished. A personalised touch making it even more precious.
As part of the curriculum, Little Britain Preschool is focusing on Community Helpers and one of the themes addressed by them is the Postal Department which the current generation is unaware of. However, as we are still rooted to our grounds, we observed this day to inculcate and preserve the values and practices of yester years as this era have embraced communication through the various new technologies like emails, messages, etc.
