KOCHI:
“Engineers of Kerala lacks reputation for good honesty and they are always under bureaucrats”, said Dr. E. Sreedharan while Addressing First year B.Tech Students of CUSAT at the Valedictory Function of their Induction Programme.
“While considering themselves under bureaucrats, engineers will not be able to take bold and courageous decisions in their field of work. Nobody trusts our engineers and that’s why they are not able to come up to the commanding positions of power. They should recognize the integrity of their profession which gives ample opportunities to serve the nation despite making money out of it”, he added.
“CUSAT gives wonderful facilities for the budding engineers in their School of Engineering. Contemporary world demands engineers in any discipline with interdisciplinary knowledge. It’s better for the engineering students to keep themselves away from campus politics as the syllabus demand more concentration”, he advised the students. Dr.M.R.R.Panicker, Former Principal, Dr. George Mathews, Principal, School of Engineering and Dr. Deepa.G.Nair spoke.
