KOCHI:
The Action-Oriented Conclave on Higher Education for the managers, principals and the vice-principals of more than 60 Kerala Catholic colleges under the auspices of the Education Commission of the KCBC was inaugurated by the Archbishop of Thrissur Mar Andrews Thazheth.
The Archbishop urged the Catholic institutions to concentrate on quality education, creativity and innovation. Fr George Madathiparambil, Professor XIME Kochi and Secretary KCBC commission for education, Fr. Jose Karuvelikal welcomed the gathering.
Fr Frazer Mascrenhas, former Principal of St. Xavier’s College, Bombay, in his keynote speech on “Enhancing the Quality of Higher Education” triggered the thoughts of competence, conscience and commitment and mould better citizens for the society who uphold the Christian values. XIME Kochi Chairman Dr. J. Alexander Founder Prof. J. Philip, P C Cyriac addressed the conclave. Former Education Minister P. J. Joseph shared his thoughts on education and role of Catholic colleges in giving great contributions to higher education.
