One Day Management Development Programme for Doctors of MVR Cancer Centre

IIM Kozhikode had conducted One Day ‘Soft Skills for Interpersonal Effectiveness: Attitude and Skill Enhancement Lab’ for Doctors of MVR Cancer Centre on April 22, 2017 at IIM Kozhikode Campus. 25 participants attended the one day programme at IIMK Campus, Kunnamangalam. Considering the importance of the programme and also as part of IIMK’s societal commitment, this programme was undertaken by IIM Kozhikode.
The main focus of the programme is to help health professionals/doctors at every level gain the communication and soft skills they need in binding the combined potential of fellow team members to augment individual’s ability to interrelate efficiently with others and thereby working towards improving patient satisfaction.
Thus, IIM Kozhikode undertakes to train the doctors and enhance their outlook by way of providing management inputs and value addition. Some of the topics that are covered under the one day training programme were Managing through Effective Communication and Leadership and Team Building.
Prof. Sudershan Kuntluru, Chairperson – MDP inaugurated the one day training programme and Dr. Narayanan Kutty Warior, Executive Director, MVR Cancer Centre, Kozhikode and Prof. Deepa Sethi, Associate Professor, IIMK and Coordinator of the programme also addressed the gathering.
