THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
The National Institute of Speech and Hearing (NISH) has invited applications for a 40-hour introductory/basic course in Indian Sign Language (ISL) for the public.
The course will commence after the relaxation of regulations enforced in the wake of COVID-19 outbreak. The first 15 applicants will be admitted to the course, which is to be conducted from 2pm to 4pm on Saturdays at the NISH campus at Akkulam here. Preference will be given to parents and siblings of deaf children.
Course fee of Rs 3,500 can be paid through NEFT, Payment Gateway or POS terminals at NISH. Those who are interested can apply through www.nish.ac.in. For more details, call 0471-2944629, 0471-2944618. Last date of registration is March 31.
