Master Pâtissier Nicolas Houchet from the famed Paris based, Le Cordon Bleu hosted a masterclass online session for the students and faculty of V. M. Salgaocar Institute of International Hospitality Education (VMSIIHE). Located by the Seine River and close to the Eiffel Tower, Le Cordon Bleu Paris is a celebrated culinary institute.
Nicolas demonstrated how to make a Raspberry and Chocolate Chouquette. Originating in France, a chouquette is a light fluffy pastry puff topped with a sprinkling of sugar. A typically french delicacy, the pastry is commonly found in the many cafes and eateries in France and parts of Europe.
Step-by-step, the Master Patissier took all the participants through the instructions of the recipe and constantly guided them. The aroma of the fresh chouquettes filled the air as the session came to an end..
