KOCHI:
‘The Chemical Evolution of the Lithosphere and Lithologies (CELL-2019)’, a one day International Seminar organised by Department of Marine Geology & Geophysics of Cochin University of Science and Technology was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Dr. R Sasidharan at the School of Marine Sciences auditorium in the lakeside campus of the University.
Prof. M. Santosh, world renowned earth scientist and Professor, China University of Geosciences, and a Professional Fellow, University of Adelaide, Australia, delivered keynote address and led the interactive session based on ‘Lithosphere dynamics and Early Earth Evolution’. Head of the Department B. Chakrapani presided.
Syndicate member Dr. N. Chandramohanakumar, School of Marine Sciences Director Prof.Aneykutty Joseph, Dean Prof. Rosamma Philip, Former Director Dr.K.T Damodaran, organising convenor Dr. Ratheesh Kumar R.T and organising secretary Dr. Ajaykumar. P spoke. The sessions that followed were led by Dr. Sajeev Krishnan, Dr. B. Chandan Kumar, Dr. D.P Mohanty, Dr, George Paul Mathews, Jaseem, and Dr. Ratheesh Kumar. The seminar was organised as part of the year-long celebrations in connection with the 80th anniversary of School of Marine Sciences.
