THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
The wild card entry facility has been introduced in five disciplines in the ongoing India Skills Kerala 2020, allowing the eligible contestants to directly enter the competitions at this stage.
The multi-tier India Skills Kerala competitions are being organized by the Industrial Training Department (ITD) and Kerala Academy for Skills Excellence (KASE), both under the State Labour and Skills Department. The categories identified for wild card entry are cloud computing, print media technology, IT software solutions for business, IT network systems administration and jewelry work.
The facility will not be available to those who have already contested in the initial rounds of India Skills Kerala 2020. The venues for the competitions are Government Polytechnic Institute of Printing Technology, Shoranur, (Printing technology), Government ITI, Kalamassery (Jewelry), and IIITM-K, Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram for other three categories.
Those who are born on January 1, 1996 or after can join the cloud computing contest and for other skills they should be born on January 1, 1999 or after. The winners will qualify to contest in the state-level finale of the event to be held in Kozhikode later this month.
The interested candidates should appear at the centres concerned before 9 am on February 15 with documents to prove their date of birth, original Aadhar card and a passport size photograph. For more details contact 9495831832, 9447974001
