IIM Kozhikode Successfully Concludes Horizons’ 2017

IIM Kozhikode (IIMK) recently concluded their 17th Annual Management Conclave: Horizon 2017 on the theme, ‘Turning Points in Life’. The conclave witnessed eminent speakers sharing their experiences with the management students.
The event included seminars, talks and competitions hosted by Industry Interaction Cell of IIMK. There were exchange of ideas and thoughts from people in the domain of entertainment, civil services, literature and so on.
To capture the essence and learning from different people with varied experience it widened its reach to unrelated domain of Entertainment, Civil Services, Literature and many more.
The conclave saw noted personalities like Atul Karwal, IG, CRPF of Jammu and Kashmir, Mukesh Chhabra (Casting Director), Savi Sharma (Author), Mathew Oommen (President, Reliance Jio) and Harrish Sairaman (Motivational Speaker) shared experiences and turning point in their life to inspire the students to make a unique difference to the world.
During his keynote address, Mathew Oommen, President, Reliance Jio Infocomm explained the digital revolution we are witnessing and said, “With our Prime Minister’s bold initiative to drive demonetization, along with an ambitious digital initiative, Jio, has taken it to itself, to be the highway and streetway to reach 90% of the population with broadband – transcending demographics”, explaining the role of Jio in transforming India.
While Atul Karwal shared his experience of handling critical areas of Kashmir and scaling Mt. Everest.
The event ended on a high note with a stand-up act by Mr. Karunesh Talwar who entertained the audience with a series of memorable catch phrases and jokes.
The conclave witnessed exchange of ideas, through provoking conversations and an intellectually stimulation environment.
