  • IIITM-K Students Grab Internship, Placement Offers from Top IT Firms

    THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
    Students pursuing MSc in Computer Science streams at the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management- Kerala (IIITM-K) Technopark here have secured internship and placement offers from top IT companies in the campus placement drive.

    Companies have offered a monthly stipend of upto Rs. 25,000 for the selected students, depending on the location of internships such as Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Chennai. The average expected Cost to Company (CTC) for the fresh recruits hired during the placement drive is upto 8 lakh.

    Lead recruiters associating with IIITM-K include TCS, Infosys, TATA ELXSI, IBS, UST Global, Allianz, Mindtree, ABB, Databeat, Ignitarium, Techvantage, Ruby Software, Ayruz Data Marketing, Kefitech, NetSentries, Uptycs, Suyati Technologies, and Embright Infotech, etc. The specialist competency areas of students include Machine Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data mining, Data engineering, Cyber Security, IOT, Cloud, Blockchain, Software Development, Programming, Geospatial Analytics and Natural Language Processing.

    Masters students specializing in Machine Intelligence, Data Analytics, Geospatial Analytics and Cyber Security have secured specialist roles like System Engineer, Software Engineer, Big Data & Analytics intern, Data Analyst, Information Security Engineer and Security Analyst in various companies.

    Students also have undertaken internships in national and state research organizations including C-DAC, ICFOSS, KBA, ISRO, IITs, KINFRA, Indian Institute of Sciences and Indian Institute of Remote Sensing. They are also encouraged to take up summer internships in the first year.

    IIITM-K, the pioneer autonomous institution set up by the Kerala Government for conducting top-grade IT, science and management courses, also organises regular employment-oriented training and aptitude programmes for students.
