ICSET 2021, Fifth Edition of the International Conclave of ICT Academy

The fifth edition of the two-day International Conclave organized by ICT Academy of Kerala ‘ICSET 2021’ will be held on 15th and 16th 7 March 2021 on the virtual platform. The theme of the latest edition of the conclave is ‘Leading the New Normal’. Dr. R A Mashelkar, former Director-General of CSIR will inaugurate the conclave in the function which would be presided over by Dr. Tony Thomas, Chairman of ICT Academy of Kerala. The inaugural session will also have William Sim, Vice President, Trailhead Academy (APAC), Salesforce, and Dr. Rajasree M S, Vice-Chancellor of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University in the guest panel.

The inaugural session would be followed by sessions and discussions led by experts in the discipline of IT and Engineering. Topics closely associated with skills, engineering, and technology, would be the part of the conclave. “ICSET 2021 will provide an exclusive space to bring together industry experts from all over the globe on one single platform to discuss ‘Leading the New Normal’ said Dr. Manoj A S, Conference Chair, ICSET 2021, ICT Academy of Kerala. Also, the speakers and panellists attending this virtual global conclave will share their insights on issues such as Innovation & Entrepreneurship in the New Normal, The New Normal Career Opportunities, Lifestyle in New Normal, and the technology Impact on Business in New Normal. This will be an important event for students, research scholars, academicians, and industry professionals and everyone who’s associated with the international education & industry added Dr. Manoj.

The organizers expect about 800 delegates, from different parts of the world to be a part of the virtual event. The delegates shall include eminent IT professionals, researchers, industry leaders, and students who would all certainly reap benefits from the event. The conclave immense opportunities for faculty members and research scholars of the Engineering and Management discipline to showcase their research work to industry and academic experts. There will also be paper presentations on technology-based subjects in the two-day conclave.

A session on Disaster Management in the New Normal, which would be led by Dr. Muralee Thummarukudy, Operations Manager, UN Environment Programme, and the talk by Dr. Sohan Roy on Entrepreneurship Avenues in New Normal are a couple of the highlights of the two-day conclave. The conclave would also comprise of ‘Techlathon’ designed exclusively to promote the technical skills of students where all undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate students can participate and exhibit their creativity, problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and prototyping skills.

The valedictory function shall see, Dr. T M Thomas Issac, Finance Minister, Government of Kerala as the Chief Guest. The function shall be presided over by Dinesh Thampi, Head, TCS & Board Member of ICTAK. Ret.d IAS officer Dr. K M Abraham who is also the current chairman of K-DISC will be the Guest of honour in the function where Kerala Digital University Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Saji Thomas shall deliver the special address.
