Goa Institute of Management (GIM), one of the popular B schools in Goa organised its annual business symposium, Samriddhi, the institute’s flagship event. The 13th edition of Samriddhi, spread over four days and held virtually focussed on the theme ‘Redesign.Reinvent’ and had in attendance speakers and students from across geographies.
Speakers like Anil Swarup, former IAS officer and author of the books, ‘Ethical Dilemmas of a Civil Servant’ and ‘Not Just A Civil Servant’, Dr. CJ Palmer, Founder and CEO, Sustainable mPact and Sustainable Soundtracks, Carolyn Parrs, CEO, Mind Over Markets, Dr. Paul Matthyssens, Professor of Strategic Management, University of Antwerp & Antwerp Management School were part of Samriddhi 2020 and interacted virtually with the participants.
Virtual sessions saw conversations revolve around environmental sustainability, the role of performing arts and creative mindset, communication skills and new opportunities which have opened owing to the pandemic, technology driven lifestyles and more. Samriddhi also conducted workshops across domains like Analytics, Finance, Marketing, Learning and Development.
To enhance problem-solving and decision making skills and abilities students’ creativity, communication as well as marketing skills were put to test in the various programs held.
Mathangi Sri, Head of Data, GoFood, Gojek, Dr. Chiranjiv Roy, senior vice president at SG Analytics, Saurabh Agrawal, thought leader and mentor at 3AI – AI and Analytics Association and Debapratim Dutta, vice president and Head of Data Science, Maybank also graced the occasion with their presence.
Samriddhi, the annual business symposium and flagship event of GIM, since its inception has worked to bridge the gap between aspiring business leaders in business schools and established business professionals in the industry while promoting learning.
