The standards of hygiene, food quality and safety are increasing worldwide. Recognising the significance of the subject, V. M. Salgaocar Institute of International Hospitality Education (VMSIIHE) is organizing a two-day workshop on Food Safety and Hygiene. The workshop is open to all and will be conducted at the institute.
A professional in the field, Sanjay Dave, Advisor to Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, will conduct the workshop on 16th and 17th September 2018.
Participants of the workshop will receive a certificate by CII FACE (Confederation of Indian Industry). This course is directed to all Food Handlers, Chefs, Street Vendors, Shopkeepers and Hospitality staff. The objective of the workshop is to strengthen understanding and equip food industry professionals with information related to the industry.
The workshop will touch upon topics such as global trading system for food business, food adulteration, contamination and its types, micro-organism, toxin, hygiene and sanitation, regulations and career development.
