His work comprises of vivid abstract paintings, figurative drawings, sculpture, photography, multimedia installations and architecture. Since 1985 he lives and works in Mumbai.
All the first year students who are members of Creativity Club, Theater Club, Music Club, and Photography club attended this talk.
“It is a very chaotic world. Make order out of it.” said Bose Krishnamachari. During the session that lasted one hour Bose spoke about the journey of his life which began in a very small village in Angamaly called Mangattukara. His inquisitiveness , desire to learn new things and commitment to everything that he did made him what he is today. He believes that everything is art and that art exists in everything. He spoke to the students about the wide scope in the field of art administration and how to become a successful person in his/her career.
He also spoke about the various difficulties that he faced while putting together the first edition of biennale in Kochi on 12th December 2012. One of the lessons that he gave the students during the session is that we should follow nobody. We have to live our own life. Tutors must be respected and loved but not blindly followed.
As managerial students he advised his audiences which included teachers, non-teaching staff and students saying that we are the centre of things. We must let things revolve around us. Obsession only leads to blindness. Contradicting this statement, Bose said that being blind is also a very beautiful feeling. Bose raised his concern about the lack of creativity in our contemporary time.
According to Bose Krishnamachari art defies structure and that there are no rules in art. Bose concluded with a message. He wants everyone to become good human beings as not everybody can be an artist.
