THODUPUZHA:
As part of the state-wide 90-day intensive “Drug-free Kerala” campaign launched by Vimukthi Mission under the State Excise Department, a quiz competition on anti-drug activities was conducted in all Higher Secondary Schools in Idukki district.
It was jointly conducted by Vimukthi Mission Idukki Division, and Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Arts & Science (JNIAS), Balagram, here.
The school-level winners of the quiz contests were awarded medals while the first and second prize winners of the Higher Secondary-level competitions qualified for the district-level contest held at St. George Higher Secondary School, Kattappana. Competitions in oil and water painting were also held as part of the event.
On the occasion, Minister for Electricity M.M. Mani gave anti-drug pledge to the gatherings. The Minister also gave away the prizes to the winners of the competitions.
