KOCHI:
Dr Benjamin Varghese P, Associate Professor, BPC College, Piravom took charge as the new Controller of examinations of Cochin University of Science and Technology.
He graduated from Vellore Engineering College in 1989 with a B.Tech degree. Benjamin obtained his M.Tech and Ph.D. degrees in 2002 and 2014 respectively from CUSAT. He joined the teaching profession in 1997 after seven years’ work in industry. Dr Benjamin is the first Examination controller after converting it in to a statutory post. M.G.M. Higher Secondary School teacher Sunita Jacob is his wife. His sons are Binu, a Bangalore-bureaucrat and B.Com student, Jacob.
