Anito Anto, a first year B.Tech Electronics and Communication student at the School of Engineering of Cochin
University of Science and Technology has won the prestigious VLSI design contest for the 33rd International Conference on VLSI Design & 19th International Conference on Embedded Design held at Bengaluru during January 4-8, 2020.
The VLSI design contest named as ARM Design Contest based on ARM Semiconductors was one of the key highlights of the conference. Anito Anto’s project ‘Cost effective home automation and energy monitoring system’
was selected as the best among the 15 projects submitted from various Universities/Colleges shortlisted through online screening from among various institutions nationwide. A judging panel from ARM semiconductors, Microchip Technology and Mentor Graphics evaluated the projects. Anito won a cash prize of Rs.30,000/- and an
internship offer in a VLSI firm. Anito Anto is a resident of Thrissur district and is the son of Anto P. P. and Mini Anto.
