KOCHI:
Dr K. K Saju, Professor and syndicate member of the Cochin University of Science and Technology has been selected for Fulbright-Nehru International Education Administrators Seminar 2019-20 organized by United States-India Educational Foundation.
The seminar is being held at Chicago, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C during October 5-19. He is among the 14 participants from India. Dr. Saju has been handling international relations as its Director for last four years at CUSAT. He is the University Grants Commission’s nominee to the syndicate of the university.
Dr. Saju is an expert in international collaborations, higher education, entrepreneurship and innovation. He has been an academic guide to several students including a Fulbright scholar from the U.S. He has been awarded the Best Entrepreneurship Mentor Award from the World Safety Council.
He is also a regular expert member of the evaluation committee for inspection and approval of technical education institutions under the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The two-week visit will enable participants to learn about various facets of U.S. higher education, including the types of institutions, accreditation, curriculum development, fund-raising, student services and international education on U.S. campuses, as well as to share knowledge on Indian higher education.
