Application invited for B.Tech (Part Time) courses
CUSAT has invited online applications for the newly commencing B.Tech (Part Time) in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Machanical Engineering courses. Candidates having three year Diploma in Chemical, Civil and Mechanical or related subjects with 50 percent marks and working in Govt. Organizations, Quasi- Govt. Organizations, Industrial firms registered under Company Act, Polytechnic, ITI or Engineering college can apply. The course is of 7 semester duration and classes will be conducted at School of Engineering in the Thrikkakara Campus from 5:30 PM to 9 PM. Admissions will be based on the rank list prepared on the basis of qualifying diploma marks, admission test and work experience. Admission fee Rs. 42585/-. The Last date for submission of online application is 4 th August (www.cusat.ac.in). Application fee Rs. 1000 (general), Rs. 500 (SC/ST). M.Tech Spot admission at Computer Science on 27th

National Facility Centre for fish farmers opens at Cusat
Inauguration of National Facility centre for Sustainable Aquaculture Production Systems for the benefits of Indian fish farmers and also a National Consultation on Promotion and Intensification of Fresh water Prawns in the country will be held at 10 AM on 27 th at Travancore Banquet Hall. This is organized by the National Centre for Aquatic Animal Health, Cusat in collaboration with Virginia Tech University and Scripps Institute of Oceanography, California. Dr. J. Letha, Vice Chancellor will inaugurate and Dr. E. G. Silas (Chairman, Coordination Committee and Former Vice Chancellor, Kerala Agricultural University) will preside. Dr. A. S Ninawe (Advisor, Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India), Dr. W. S Lakra, (Special Officer, Blue Revolution, ICAR), Dr. Palanisamy (Deputy General Manager, NABARD), Manash Choudhary (Deputy Advisor, NITI Aayog) will review the initiatives at national level. Prof. I.S. Bright Singh (UGC- BSR Faculty and Programme Coordinator), Dr. Valsamma Joseph (Director, NCAAH), Dr. Jayesh Puthumana (Fellow DBT- IYBA) will speak.
