Cusat: National Seminar on Integrated Water Resource Management Inaugurated

Integrated water resource management is necessary and the issue still remains unresolved even after discussions for decades at various level, said Dr. J.Letha, Vice chancellor, Cusat while inaugurating the two day national seminar conducted by School of Environmental Studies on ‘Integrated Water Resource Management’ at department seminar hall.
Dr. E. J. James, Former Head, CWRDM, Dr. N. Chandramohanakumar, Member, Syndicate, Dr. G. Madhu, Head, Chemical Engineering Division, School of Engineering, Cusat, Dr. Rajathy Sivalingam, Director, School of Environmental Studies spoke at the function. Dr. K. J. Padmakumar, Head, International Research and Training Centre for Below Sea Level Farming and Dr. Sunny George, Director, SCMS Water Institute led the plenary session on various aspects of water management today.
V. Bindhu, Assistant Director, KSDG and Dr. P. S. Harikumar, Senior Principal Scientist, Water Quality Department, CWDRM will lead classes in various sessions tomorrow. Teachers, Scientists, Researchers and Students will present papers on various aspects of water management.
