Cusat Vice Chancellor Dr. J. Letha will inaugurate the First Prof. Dr. C. T. Samuel Memorial Lecture and will distribute the Academic Luminary Endowment Gold Medal, to the rank holders at 11.00 am on 26 th March at the Seminar Hall of School of Industrial Fisheries in the Lakeside Campus.
Dr. B. Madhusoodana Kurup, the founder Vice Chancellor of KUFOS, will deliver C.T. Samuel Memorial Lecture. Dr. C. T. Samuel was a pioneer scientist and a teacher in ocean studies and fisheries sciences and was the founder director of School of Industrial Fisheries from 1978 to 1989. He had also served in the University of Kerala for 17 years.
Dr. Samuel was also a member of various committees of Central and State Government. He guided 12 Ph.D’s and authored numerous National and International theses. He expired on 6 th January 2018.
