Cochin University of Science and Technology will organize the Golden Jubilee year Convocation ceremony at 11 am on 8th November at CUSAT Science Seminar Complex. Arif Mohammed Khan, Governor and the Chancellor of the university will be the Chief Guest. Dr. R Bindu, Pro- Chancellor and Minister for Higher Education, Dr. K N Madhusoodanan, Vice Chancellor, Dr. P G Sankaran, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Dr. V Meera, Registrar, Dr Benjamin Varghese P, Controller of Examinations, Sudheer M. S, Finance Officer, and Deans of various Faculties will participate in the event . 80 students will participate offline and the rest will
graduate in online mode.
The Convocation ceremony has been organized as part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the University. Fifty years on, CUSAT has grown to 31 departments, 60 courses, 8000 students and 300 permanent teachers. The University has three campuses at Thrikkakkara, near Fine Arts Hall, Ernakulam and Pulinkunnu, Kuttanad. CUSAT has won the prestigious Chancellor’s Award for best University in 2017, 2019 and 2020 . CUSAT also tops the national rankings in addition to the Times Higher Education International Rating in Computer Science, Engineering and Physical Sciences.
