KOCHI:
CUSAT received two major projects under PLEASE (Performance Linked Encouragement for Academic Studies and Endeavour), a project under KSCHE amounting over 6.25 lakhs.
The project under the Centre for Aquatic Animal Health will receive around 3.75 crore rupees and the project for developing various sensors will get the rest. Dr P Jayesh and Dr T P Sajeevan will lead the project to develop bio-medical molecules and Dr K Girish Kumar, Senior professor at the department of applied Chemistry will lead the project to develop sensors which is a combined project of Environmental studies, Biotechnology, Photonics and Electronics.
KSHEC received 10 projects from various universities in Kerala and CUSAT was able to bag two of them. “In the Golden Jubilee year, it is a great achievement” remarked Dr K N Madhusudanan, Vice-chancellor.
