Applications are invited for Graduate Aptitude Test in Biotechnology (Gat-B 2021), an eligibility test for admission to supported Teaching Programmes by the Regional Centre for Biotechnology, Faridabad, supported by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.
This examination ranks the eligibility of the candidate among all applicants, and the candidates will be given a GAT-B rank based on which they may apply to the various DBT-supported PG programmes as per their respective admission and selection process. Cochin University of Science and Technology is offering M. Tech programme in Marine Biotechnology sponsored by Department of Biotechnology, Government of India under Human Resource Development Programme, co-ordinated by National Centre for Aquatic Animal Health (NCAAH) and is approved by AICTE. This is the only M.Tech. programme in Marine Biotechnology offered in the country having Global concept of education ‘Find Solutions to the Human Problems in Class Rooms’. A studentship of Rs. 12000/- per month is provided by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.
The candidates having minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA (under grading system) from any recognized university in B.Tech. or BE in Biotechnology/M.Sc in any branch of Life Science including Marine Biology are eligible to apply for GAT-B for admission to M.Tech. Marine Biotechnology programme. Online registration and submission of Application Form (complete in all respects) for GAT-B 2021 through NTA Website dbt.nta.ac.in is open from 07 July 2021 to 31 st July 2021 (upto 05:00 P.M).
