The ICT Academy has invited applications for its next batch of Accelerated Blockchain Competency Development (ABCD) programme, at a time when global trends indicate increased demand for trained hands in this emerging technology.
Majority 41 per cent of 740 global technology industry leaders have said that it is “very likely/likely” that they will be implement blockchain technology in their companies in the next three years, according to the 2019 Technology Industry Innovation survey by consultancy group KPMG. Launched in July 2018, the ABCD programme enables students to varied certifications that equip them to apply for jobs in IT, Banking, Financial Services and Retail.
The ABCD programme offers two-part certification, where the participants will obtain a Foundation Skills certificate in Full-stack and Intermediate-level skills in Blockchain technology. Candidates who successfully complete the programme can find employment as Full-Stack Developer/MEAN Stack Developer; Python Programmer; Go Language Programmer; Blockchain Associate; Blockchain Developer and Blockchain Architect.
The programmes are certified by the ICT Academy of Kerala; Kerala Blockchain Academy (KBA), Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management Kerala (IIITM-K) and Blockchain Education Network (BEN). The last date for applications is 9 March; the entrance examination is scheduled on 16 March 2019. Students who perform well in the entrance test will be eligible for a scholarship of up to 70 per cent of the fees.
