THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, ranked 8th Best University in India by MHRD, Govt of India, has commenced online applications to the B.Tech programmes starting in 2020 at Amrita Schools of Engineering located at Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore and Amaravati campuses. The admissions will be based on the rank scored in JEE Mains 2020 or Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination – 2020 (AEEE).
The Schools of Engineering located at Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Chennai and Coimbatore is NAAC accredited with ‘A’ grade for the third time consecutively. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has also found its place in the list of Institute of Eminence, announced by MHRD, Govt. of India. Amrita University is also listed in the top 10 ranks by Times Higher Education for the third consecutive time. Amrita University will commence the engineering programmes in 2020 at its 5 th engineering campus at Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh.
The Schools of Engineering offers B.Tech in various interdisciplinary streams and offers an opportunity to take up dual degree programmes, semester abroad programmes and internships in reputed foreign universities.
The online AEEE is scheduled from April 23 to April 27, 2020. The offline AEEE exam is scheduled on 2 May 2020 and will be conducted only in Tamil Nadu. The cost of application for the candidates applying through JEE Mains is 300/- and those applying through AEEE 2020 is 1000/-. A candidate can compete for a seat using both the ranks. The AEEE is a multiple choice question examination with 40 questions on Maths, 30 on Physics and 30 on Chemistry. The duration of the examination is 3 hours. To apply, visit www.amrita.edu/btech.
