The record-breaking induction ceremony of 14th batch of Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP 14) of the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, was organised online here today. As a testimony to its standout academic rigour and high corporate acceptability, IIMK’s much sought after Executive MBA Programme, has for a second consecutive time enrolled more than 500+ candidates (total 529 students) after registering an impressive count of 501 students last year, in 2020.
Ms. Sreedevi Raghaven, the Founder and CEO of Tattvamassi Coaching & Consultancy (OPC) Pvt Ltd and Member of the IIMK Board of Governors was the Guest of Honour. Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, Director, IIMK, Deans, EPGP 14 batch students, Chairperson EPGP, faculty and other IIMK officials also joined the virtual induction ceremony.
Ms Raghaven, herself an alumni of the 3rd Batch of this programme, in her inaugural address to the vastly experienced batch recounted her journey at IIMK and guided the latest cohort to overcome conditioned beliefs and to prioritise tasks to achieve their personal as well professional objectives. She also motivated the candidates to discover the golden opportunities that change drives in, in their pursuit of learning at an institution which is now known globally for the richness of its values and thought leadership.
Prof. Debashis Chatterjee in his address to the largest ever incoming batch of the programme, emphasised on the culture of values and also on the conscious responsibility of the learners to contribute to the society once they acquire knowledge from an Institution like IIM Kozhikode. Recounting the formidable journey of IIMK’s executive programme, ranked 16+ in Asia-Pacific in the QS Global Executive MBA Rankings 2021 on its international debut in rankings, the Director credited IIMK’s ‘exceptional’ and ‘exponential’ ability to create value for the rapid rise to Institute’s international acclaim.
Earlier, the Dean (Executive Education), Prof. G Sridhar welcomed the students and encouraged students to pursue knowledge with the right intent and to focus on sustaining quality while doing so. Prof. Thangamani G, Chairperson, EPGP Programme Kozhikode, walked the gathering through the impressive batch of 529 students with an average batch experience of 10+ years.
The Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) for working professionals is a two-year master’s programme in management offered on Interactive Learning (IL) platform leading to MBA degree. It was also recently ranked at 101+ Rank globally as per the latest QS World Rankings for Executive MBA Programmes. The programme with 750 instruction hours programme has three mandatory in-campus modules. The 14th batch with close to 60% candidates in the age group of 30-39 years has candidates from diverse sectors reflecting their endless passion for learning and mid-career upskilling. The programme is currently delivered through the technology platform of Times Professional Learning (A Division of Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd).
