THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
The National Institute of Speech and Hearing (NISH) has planned a two-day programme on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, on December 6 -7 at its campus here.
The event is being organized in association with the National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities (NIEPMD) as part of NISH’s Continuing Rehabilitation Education (CRE) scheme. The enactment of RPWD Act by Parliament marked a paradigm shift in looking at disabilities from a mere social welfare angle to an inclusive and human rights perspective.
Those who are interested in participating in attending the programme can apply through http://www.nish.ac.in/ on or before December 3rd. The first 35 registrants will be considered for the programme. Registration can be done by sending a DD for Rs 1200 drawn in favour of, The Director, CRC Kozhikode, payable at SBI, Vellimadukunnu.
