THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Creating a safe and comfortable zone for breastfeeding women during their journeys, a startup mentored by Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) has launched a project of installing state-of-the-art breastfeeding pods at three railway stations across Kerala.
Christened ‘Domatio’, the new age breastfeeding pod has already been set up in Thrissur Railway Station and the facility will be opened in Thiruvananthapuram Central and Ernakulam South in the coming days. ‘I Love 9 Months’, a maternity wellness startup, is implementing the project in association with KSUM, CIMAR Hospitals, Kochi, and Saroja Hospital, Thrissur.
Dr. Rajesh Chandran, IRTS, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, will inaugurate ‘Domatio’at the Central Railway Station here on September 3 at 11am. Dr. Anupama R, President, IMA Thiruvananthapuram, will be present on the occasion. Dr. M Beena IAS, Chairman, Cochin Port Trust, will inaugurate the project at Ernakulam South Railway Station on September 5 in the presence of Mr. Gokul Gopinath, CEO- CIMAR, and Edappal Hospitals.
Minister for Agriculture V S Sunil Kumar launched ‘Domatio’ at Thrissur Railway Station on August 30. Dr. Krishnan Pisharody, Managing Director, Saroja Hospitals, was present at the function. ‘Domatio’ is designed to help women comfortably breastfeed infants in public places like shopping malls, restaurants, hospitals, zoo, bus stand, and railway station etc.
