    CHENNAI:
    A Chandrashekaran has been appointed as treasurer of Makkal Needhi Maiam Party.

    A. Chadrasekaran is the Managing Director of Anitha Texcot India P Ltd. He began his career at the age of 17 as an employee of a Garment Factory. He set up his own business within 3 years and has provided employment to thousands of people since then.

    As an environmentally conscious citizen, he has planted more than 1,50,000 trees in and around his home town Dharapuram. He has also distributed 10,000 cotton bags to reduce the usage of plastic bags. He was instrumental in setting up the Samudhaya Kudam in his native village, Ellapalayam.

    Having served the people in various ways, he decided to join Kamal Haasan and Makkal Needhi Maiam to pave a better tomorrow for the future generations of Thamizh Nadu and he holds the positions of State Executive Committee member and the Tiruppur Zonal In- Charge.
