Hanita Bhambri, winner of the ALOFT Star Asia 2018 competition bagged a record deal with the Universal Music Group, after representing India on an international platform and conquering the stage with a winning performance. Project Aloft Star Asia is an international competition spearheaded by Aloft Hotels in partnership with Universal Music to identify the hottest emerging music talen/t from around the globe, offering them a chance to kick start their careers. The competition was a culmination of Aloft Hotels’ ongoing commitment to supporting emerging artists, which lives on through regular Live @Aloft music sessions featuring local acts at Aloft’s W XYZ® bars worldwide.
Last year, the fifth and final edition of the Project Aloft Star Asia Pacific competition drew over 1,000 original music entries and 72,900 votes cast from across Asia Pacific. Hanita Bhambri got a chance to showcase her talent and be mentored by Bollywood singer and composer Salim Merchant whilst standing tall amongst global artists. Hanita won against stiff competition from Australia, China, Thailand and South Korea in 2018.
Hanita’s upcoming single “Be Patient” radiates relentless optimism even when things don’t go your way. It narrates an interesting storyline which leaves one with a bigger understanding that it isn’t the circumstances that make people, but their choices.
