Young Indians Leading a Delegation to the Prestigious G-20 Summit in Berlin

NEW DELHI:
A group of 22 Young Business Leaders & Entrepreneurs, part of CII’s Young Indians, will attend the G-20 Summit at Berlin on 15 & 16 June, 2017. The Summit will be attended by delegations from the following countries Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Europe, France, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, United States and United Kingdom.
The G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance (G20 YEA) is a global network of approximately 500,000 young entrepreneurs and the organizations that support them. In conjunction with the 2016 G20 Leaders’ Summit in Hangzhou, China, hundreds of young entrepreneurs, met in Beijing for the annual G20 YEA Summit from September 8 to 10, 2016. This gathering built upon a tradition of collaboration between the world’s young entrepreneurs that began in Italy at G8 summit in 2009 and continued at successive G20 YEA Summits in Canada, France, Mexico, Russia, Australia and Turkey.
Shaurya Veer Himatsingka, Past National Chairman, Young Indians & President, G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance (G20 YEA) said, “Yi as a recognized body and a part of the official G20 process has been instrumental in engaging and contributing to impact the findings of the G20 in raising awareness and addressing the issues of emerging entrepreneurs across the globe”.

Jacob Joy, Director, J J Confectionery Pvt Ltd. and Nithin George Charuvila, Founder & CEO, Q Play Tech Pvt Ltd.- both members from Yi Kochi chapter would be part of this delegation.
Young Indians (Yi) is an integral part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), a non-government, not-for-profit, industry led and industry managed organisation playing a proactive role in India’s development process. Yi was formed in the year 2002 with an objective of creating a platform for young Indians to realize the dream of a developed nation. Yi has around 2600 direct members in 40 chapters, and engages around 8500 students under the brand ‘Yuva’.
The Yi membership includes young progressive Indians between the age group of 21 & 40 and comprises entrepreneurs, professionals and achievers from different walks of life. “To become the Voice of Young Indians Globally” being the vision of Yi, it provides a platform for young Indians to participate in and contribute by becoming an integral part of the Indian growth story. Yi’s work is divided primarily into three groups; “Youth Leadership”, “Nation Building” and “Thought Leadership”.
