Esther Avionics and Engineering (EAE) has come up with drones which are designed for India’s defence system.
“Indian Army is largely relying on the equipments imported from foreign nations. Our products are much superior when considering the quality and cheaper too as compared to the ones from foreign countries,” said Benyamin George, R&D head of the company.
The company has also conducted several drills and pitched projects for the Border Security Force (BSF) and Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). Besides, EAE has been conducting practical sessions in different schools and engineering colleges across the country.

ts and services related to defence sector as they are the real components of indigenization,” said Shri P M Francis, Director, Industries and Commerce, Kerala Govt.
‘Touch Screen Testing Robot’ developed by Sastra Robotics, is another major attraction at the expo, which concludes on Saturday.
“Usually the touch screen gadgets are tested manually. However, there are chances of errors. These specially programmed robots can test the gadget fool-proof,” said Arjun G S, a robotic design engineer of the company.
Bosch is the major client of Sastra Robotics, which began as a startup set up by three engineering graduates from Government Engineering College, Palakkad.
Apart from these, customised Water ATM, which dispenses mineral water after insertion of coins, and a multipurpose ozoniser, used for cleaning meat as well as for medicinal purposes, are also on display.
Vyapar 2017, organised by the State government’s Department of Industries & Commerce and partnered by FICCI, aims to boost the state’s vibrant SMEs through national and international deals and technology partnerships.
