  • VM Sudheeran Criticises Chandy and Chennithala for attending Bar Owner’s Family Programme

Thiruvananthapuram: The former UDF Govt was rocked by the allegations raised by liquor trader Biju Ramesh but it did not prevent former chief minister Oommen Chandy and former Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala from attending the betrothal of Biju’s daughter on June 23.

Their presence at the private event became a political issue when Biju Ramesh posted an FB message to thank the political bigwigs from UDF and LDF who accepted his invitation and attended the ceremony.

The facebook post has provoked KPCC President V M Sudheeran to question the improper act of Oommen Chandy and Chennithala.

Sudheeran said the leaders were in the wrong and they should show discretion when they have to attend privateprogrammes organised by individuals.

The programme was also attended by Ministers E P Jayarajan, Kadakampilly Surendran, A C Moideen, Mathew T Thomas, K Raju, A K Saseendran, CPM State secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, UDF Convenor P P Thankachan and many other leaders.

Biju’s daughter Megha will be getting married to Ajay Krishnan who is the son of former Revenue Minister in the UDF Government, Adoor Prakash, on December 4.
