Kerala Tourism is organising a seminar at Marian College at picturesque Kuttikkanam in Idukki district on October 25 as part of the State Government’s thematic deliberations ‘Vision 2031’, seeking to impart pace to strategic initiatives to make the state a world-class travel destination.
The conclave will host eight seminars led by prominent thoughtleaders in the tourism sector, besides representatives from abroad, industry leaders, professionals, young entrepreneurs and public servants.
Apart from deliberating the future of tourism, the seminar will discuss topics ranging from safety, hygiene and sustainability to the need for a social foundation for the tourism in the future. These deliberations will help promote and support sustainable development of the tourism.
In addition to discussing key challenges and opportunities in the sector, the event will host discussions on tourism that is responsible, inclusive, experiential and regenerative tourism.
The topics are ‘Beyond Design Policy’, ‘Tourism Education & Skilling-The Way Forward Developing Human Capital in Tourism for Future’, ‘Challenges & Opportunities in Designing Tourism Destinations’, ‘Adaptation and use of Technology in Tourism for Immersive Experience’, ‘Future Potential of Heritage’, ‘Culture and Spiritual Tourism’ and ‘Tourism Business Innovations & Investment, Adventure Tourism and Allied Products’.
