Kerala Blasters is proud to announce the signing of Mumbai born centre-back defender, Raju Gaikwad.
The 29-year-old Raju will be joining the club for the upcoming season of the Indian Super League (ISL) with vast experience of playing for renowned clubs like Mohun Began and East Bengal .From the Tata Football Academy ,the 180 cm tall player started his professional career with Pailan Arrows in the I- League and has made his debut in the National U23 team in 2011. He lead India to win the 2012 Nehru cup beating Cameroon’s B team. Raju was part of Jamshedpur FC in the last edition of the ISL.
“I am happy to have Raju in the team. I have worked with Raju before while he was in East Bengal. He has the ability to play in all positions in the back line. He also has a good physique and decent techniques on the ball. I am happy that he is now part of Kerala Blasters”, says Eelco Schattorie, Head Coach of KBFC.
