UTI Infrastructure Technology And Services Limited (UTIITSL) has signed MoU with National Health Authority (NHA) for providing the printing services of e-cards to the beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) which provides an annual health cover of Rs. 5 lakh to 53 crore poor eligible citizens to avail cashless secondary and tertiary healthcare anywhere in the country in its empanelled healthcare providers. The MoU was signed by Dr. Vipul Aggarwal, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, NHA and Shri Vijay Kumar Jain, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of UTIITSL.
UTIITSL will be providing printing services & support the beneficiary identification and verification process in the issuance of e-cards to beneficiaries of AB PM-JAY scheme. UTIITSL will be providing the services of printing of e-cards through its branches and PSAs.
Vijay Kumar Jain, MD&CEO, UTIITSL said,“UTIITSL is proud to be associated with the National Health Authority in achieving its objectives of implementation of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. UTIITSL will leverage its existing PAN India network to reach at the ground level to identify beneficiaries under AB-PMJAY scheme and assist them in the filling up of online validation process for Beneficiary Identification System of PM-JAY through its centers across various locations/PSAs in the country.”.”
‘Ayushman Bharat’ scheme crossed the one crore treatments mark and aims to reach to an even larger number of beneficiaries through UTIITSL having PAN India network.
Dr. Vipul Agarwal , Dy. CEO, NHA said,“Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB – PMJAY) is 100 per cent technology and data-driven and analytics-oriented from day one of its implementation. The AB-PMJAY aims to target more than 10.74 crore poor, deprived rural families and occupational category of urban workers’ families identified as per the Socio-Economic Caste Census (SECC) 2011 database. In less than two years, 1.2 crore cashless treatments worth Rs. 15,000 crore have been provided. We believe that through this partnership with UTIITSL, we will be able to reach out to an even larger number of deserving families, especially in the remote, unconnected locations and enable them access affordable quality healthcare through PM-JAY.”
Eligible beneficiaries can avail cashless secondary and tertiary care across the growing pan- India network of 23,000 public and private empanelled hospitals through the portability feature of the PM-JAY scheme. This helps the migrant workers who work away from home or are registered at a place where they don’T belong. Till date around 12.55 crore e-cards have been issued.
For getting a PM-JAY e-card issued, beneficiaries need to get their individual and family identity verified at UTIITSLs Centres/PSAs with the help of a document such as Aadhaar card and the registered beneficiary will be able to avail the benefits under AB-PMJAY scheme.
