THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Adarsh Nair, the Head of Information Security at UST, was presented with the Excellence Medal for his contributions to Kerala Police and Cyberdome during 2019 and 2020. Kerala State Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan gave away the medal at an event held on September 4, Saturday, in the presence of Antony Raju, Minister for Transport, Anil Kant, DGP and Kerala State Police Chief, and Manoj Abraham, ADGP HQ & Nodal Officer Kerala Police Cyberdome.
Based in Thiruvananthapuram, Adarsh Nair has been voluntarily serving at the Kerala Police Cyberdome as Deputy Commander (Honorary Position). He is also a Co-Leader of the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) Kerala, an advisory board member of EC-Council, and Industry Institute Interaction Cell Member of Kerala Digital University. He is a Fellow of Information Privacy recognised by International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
Adarsh Nair completed his Bachelor’s in Computer Science & Engineering and Master’s in Information Security, and went on to gain expertise in Information Security Governance, Risk and Compliance, Business Continuity, Data Privacy, Ethical Hacking, and a wide range of vulnerabilities & threats identification and mitigation.
He has spoken on Information Security topics at various national and international conferences in topics ranging from Ethical Hacking, Social Engineering, Financial Frauds, Ransomware, Dark Web, Privacy etc. He has also authored a variety of articles and has two published books to his credit- “The Infodemic” & “Dark Web Demystified.” Adarsh Nair currently working as Head of Information Security at the leading digital transformation company UST and has been with the organisation since 2016.
