THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
UST Global’s Network of Women Ussociates (NOWU), an internal volunteering team that facilitates the empowerment of the company’s woman employees, organized its annual culinary festival cum fund raising event Yummy Aid 2018. UST Global Yummy Aid is an annual festival that aims to bring together all the employees to raise funds for upliftment of women and children in our society.
This is the 8th year of Yummy Aid, and this year the event raised close to Rs 4,00,000, which will be utilized for helping the women and children affected by the recent floods in Kerala. The food festival and culinary contest witnessed participation from 30 teams who cooked and brought lip-smacking food from home and sold them at UST Global’s Campus as well as at the Bhavani office in Technopark. The 30 teams also competed for the ‘Best Stall’ and ‘Best Signature Dish and Most Contributed Stall title.
Suresh Pillai, Executive Chef, Raviz Group, who was the judge for the contest, gave away the prizes to the winners – Vaazhayilayil oru salkaaram and Mullpanthal for the Best Stall; Para Pollichathu (Stall Name: Kadal) and Payarukanji and Chammanthi (Stall Name: Oru vattam koodi) for Best Signature Dish. Over 5,000 employees participated from across the offices at Thiruvananthapuram.
