Union Bank of India opened ‘SARAL’ center to make the banking services simple and fast for entrepreneurs. General managers S.K. Mahapathra, A.K. Deekshith, DGM Divakar Kammath and regional head P.S Rajan together inaugurated the new saral center in the nodal regional office at MG Road, Ernakulam. It is the first saral center in Kerala and the 26th one in the country.
Saral is the single window system of union bank to provide all kinds of banking facilities including loans to the commercial, industrial and trade sectors, as part of the trade friendly policy of central government. The bank has 4250 branches including those in foreign countries, 7100 ATMs, business of 6.69 lakh crores and 6 crore customers. It is also the lead bank of Ernakulum- Idukki districts.
P.S Rajan, deputy general manager, said that, the bank have started new schemes like housing loan for 8.30 percent, vehicle loan for 8.7 percent and union trade plus scheme to give business loans for 8.45 percent. Bank has 72 branches and business of more than ten thousand crores only in Ernakulum district. V. Pradeep, AGM, saral center, said that those who need entrepreneurial loans can contact the center.
