Union Bank of India has launched a nationwide Mega MSME Outreach Campaign, a week-long initiative aimed at empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), fostering entrepreneurship, and promoting financial inclusion.
The campaign was formally inaugurated in Bengaluru by A. Manimekhalai, Managing Director & CEO, Union Bank of India, who emphasized the Bank’s commitment to strengthening the MSME sector through financial support, digital solutions, and awareness initiatives. Speaking at the launch event, she stated:
“Union Bank of India remains steadfast in its commitment to financial inclusion and holistic support for MSMEs. Through this nationwide campaign, we aim to provide seamless access to financial products that are backed by technology and government initiatives, ensuring the growth and sustainability of MSMEs. Our comprehensive product suite is designed to enhance the customer experience in availing credit, and we continue to foster an enabling ecosystem that strengthens India’s MSME sector, contributing to the broader vision of Viksit Bharat.”
As part of this initiative, Union Bank of India is showcasing its entrepreneur-friendly MSME products, including MSME Superfast for quick and hassle-free credit access, Yuvashakti for young entrepreneurs, and Union Nari Shakti to empower women entrepreneurs. The Bank is also actively promoting government-backed financial schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY), PM Vishwakarma, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) to enhance financial inclusion and support small businesses.
The campaign has witnessed enthusiastic participation from entrepreneurs, Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and local businesses. In a significant move to support small businesses, on-the-spot sanction letters were distributed to eligible borrowers, reinforcing the Bank’s commitment to driving economic growth and financial accessibility.
The MSME Outreach Campaign is being conducted across 157 locations nationwide, where Union Bank of India is also facilitating the opening of retail CASA deposit accounts, further strengthening its customer base and financial inclusion efforts.
Through this initiative, Union Bank of India reaffirms its dedication to uplifting small businesses, facilitating access to credit, and creating greater awareness about financial solutions tailored for MSMEs. By bridging the gap between entrepreneurs and financial services, the Bank continues to play a pivotal role in enhancing India’s MSME ecosystem and driving inclusive economic development.
