HOSUR:
TVS Motor Company registered sales of 325,345 units in March 2019 as against 326,667 units in March 2018.
Two-Wheeler:
Total two-wheelers registered sales of 310,901 units in March 2019 as against 315,773 units in March 2018. Domestic two-wheelers recorded sales of 247,710 units in March 2019 as against 265,174 units in March 2018.
Motorcycles sales grew by 5% increasing from 134,420 units in March 2018 to 141,086 units in March 2019. Scooter sales of the Company registered 98,477 units in March 2019 as against 100,972 units in March 2018.
Exports:
The Company’s total exports grew by 28% from 59,628 units registered in the month of March 2018 to 76,405 units in March 2019. Two-wheeler exports grew by 25% increasing from sales of 50,599 units in March 2018 to 63,191 units in March 2019.
Three-Wheeler:
Three-wheeler of the Company grew by 33% increasing from 10,894 units in March 2018 to 14,444 units registered in March 2019.
Fourth Quarter Sales Performance FY 2018 -19:
During the fourth quarter of the financial year 2018 -19, two-wheeler sales increased from 8.60 lakh units registered in the fourth quarter of financial year 2017-18 to 8.66 lakh units in the financial year 2018-19. Three-wheeler sales of the Company grew by 41% from 0.29 lakh units in the fourth quarter financial year 2017-18 to 0.42 lakh units in the fourth quarter of the financial year 2018-19.
Full Year Sales Performance FY 2018 -19:
During the financial year 2018-19, two-wheeler sales of the Company grew by 12% increasing from 33.67 lakh units registered in the financial year 2017-18 to 37.57 lakh units in the year under review. Three-wheeler sales of the Company grew by 59% from 0.99 lakh units in the financial year 2017–18 to 1.56 lakh units in the financial year 2018-19.
