SmartCity Kochi, which recently witnessed major restructuring at the top management level, has gained further momentum with three more companies starting their operations in a month’s time. The companies that started operation are Gadgeon Smart Systems, Abzer Technology Solutions and Auberon Technology. With this, the number of companies operating in the first IT tower at SmartCity Kochi has increased to 16.
IBS Software (IBS) had also started its operation at SmartCity recently. Meanwhile, a few more leading names in the sector are at various stages of fit-out and their operations are expected to commence soon in SmartCity Kochi which will make 78 per cent of the commercial IT space to become operational.
Gadgeon Smart Systems, a global electronics product design company specializing in the Internet of Things (IoT), home automation, industrial automation, healthcare and communications service provider in market segments, has occupied an area of 5,600 sq. ft. at SmartCity. The Kochi-based company with 145 employees has moved a 30 member team to the SmartCity and is planning to add another 35 members in the near future.
“It’s a great privilege to be part of world-class IT Park. We opened our new facility at SmartCity Kochi with a view to strengthen our international operations. The presence in a special economic zone will be a great advantage for us. With SmartCity management taking care of everything, we can entirely concentrate on our business,” said Hariprasad V. Nair, CEO and Director, Gadgeon Smart Systems.
Abzer Technology Solutions, a leading technology solution firm with a strong customer base in GCC, specialized in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), mobility, business intelligence and digital payments solutions primarily focusing on healthcare, supply chain, e-commerce and payment industries, has taken up 3,638 sq. ft. area at SmartCity.
“We are pleased to open our office in SmartCity Kochi, one of the premium IT parks in the country. This facility has a lot of potential to attract offshore projects and provide more job opportunities to the qualified IT professionals. It will leverage our capabilities to deliver more value to our enterprise customers and accelerate our growth. This also acts as a Technology Excellence Center for our future technology innovation programs,” said Shamsudheen Venkitta, Managing Director, Abzer Technology Solutions.
The facility of Auberon Technology, a software development company that specializes in providing world-class IT solutions and services, in SmartCity spreads over an area of 2, 732 sq. ft. The company will have 32 professionals at SmartCity. “Our aim is to harness the unparalleled potential and expertise found in India’s growing IT industry. So, we believe that having an office at SmartCity will be greatly beneficial in achieving our aim,” said Raman Ashok Kumar, Managing Director, Auberon Technology.
