THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Sports Kerala is arranging selection trials for students of classes 6th to 11th for entry into prominent sports schools in Kerala. Athletics, Boxing, Judo, Cricket, Taekwondo, Volleyball, Basketball, Hockey, and Wrestling are the events for trials. The interested students should reach their respective venues by 8 am along with their Birth Certificate, Aadhaar Card, and two photographs.
The trials for admissions to classes 6-10 in G V Raja Sports School, Kannur Sports School, and Thrissur Sports Division are held between April 20 – and May 6 in 14 districts. The selection trials for students of class 11 are to be held in different districts from April 30 to May 6.
Admission to classes 6 and 7 is through general tests, and admissions to vacant seats in classes 9 and 10 are limited to State Level medal winners. Proficiency in games and general tests will be the basis for admission to classes 8 and 11. Students will have the opportunity to train under renowned instructors using the most modern facilities.
Sports Kerala is an initiative to develop, promote and lead the sports and cultural activities of the state by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs (DSYA) under the Government of Kerala. The selections trials conducted in all districts aim at finding and mould champions of tomorrow.
