India’s favourite carrier – SpiceJet, today announced the launch of two new daily direct flights from Hyderabad on both international and domestic routes effective 10th October 2018. The new flights launched will connect the city with Bangkok and Guwahati.
The announcement was made in the august presence of K. T. Rama Rao, Minister for Industry & Commerce, Municipal Administration & Urban Development, ITE&C, Mines, Handloom & Textiles, NRI Affairs, Government of Telangana. On the occasion, senior SpiceJet officials handed over the first ticket to K.T. Rama Rao, thereby marking the formal announcement of the launch of the new flight service.
Shilpa Bhatia, Chief Sales and Revenue Officer, SpiceJet said, “We are delighted to launch our new flights from Hyderabad. Bangkok has always been one of the most preferred global destinations and the domestic addition reiterates our conviction in the potential of the north-eastern regions. We believe our consistent efforts to connect the regional markets will revolutionise air travel across the country offering convenience for business and leisure travelers alike.”
SpiceJet is the only Indian carrier to provide direct connectivity between Hyderabad and Bangkok. Earlier passengers from the city had to take a connecting flight from Delhi while traveling to Bangkok.
SpiceJet celebrated the launch by announcing an introductory promotional fare of INR 10,001 (all inclusive) for Hyderabad-Bangkok, INR 8316 (all inclusive) for Bangkok-Hyderabad, INR 4286 (all inclusive) for Hyderabad-Guwahati and INR 4148 (all inclusive) for Guwahati-Hyderabad. The airline will deploy its Boeing aircraft on both the routes.
The new flights will provide convenience to the airline’s customers traveling from the city, besides enabling them to travel to a host of other cities both on SpiceJet’s domestic as well as international network via multiple direct and onward connections.
