Special Vigilance Drive by Southern Railway

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Southern Railway is organizing a 10 days Special Vigilance Drive from 01.02.2018 to 10.02.2018 throughout the zone. As a part of the drive, Inspections are being conducted at Parking facilities, Booking Offices, Reservation Offices, Parcel Offices, Food Plazas, Vegetarian Refreshment Rooms, Non-Vegetarian Refreshment Rooms, Catering/ Multipurpose stalls at the stations and Reserved coaches & Pantry Cars on trains. Officers and Supervisors are deputed for conducting inspections at these public interface points of Railways.
Trivandrum Division
Ajay Kaushik, Divisional Commercial Manager, Co-ordination. Trivandrum Division, conducted Vigilance Inspection at Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station. Assistant Security Commissioner, Railway Protection Force (RPF), T.S Gopakumar and Supervisors of Commercial Department and RPF officials also took part. Inspections were carried out at Booking Office, Parcel office and Parking facility at Thiruvananthapuram central station today.
Vigilance Helpline
The Campaign also aimed to give a wider reach to the newly introduced Vigilance Helpline Number No.155210. The Helpline will be functional round the clock, through which Passengers/Customers can inform Railway Vigilance Department on instances come across by them like the demand of a tip/bribe/extra money for offering any services on Railway premises. A e-mail address is also introduced to contact the Vigilance Department, Southern Railway – vigcomplaints@sr.railnet.gov.in. The Helpline No. and the e-mail address will continue in service even after the drive.
